PatchView+ Card

The PatchView+ Card is a pluggable device that supports physical network identification on

interconnect and cross-connect topologies.


It automatically detects and reads up to 24 smart ID devices present on each Copper Frame or Fiber Tray.

The Card is fully protected against abnormal power conditions such as power surges, short circuits, and overpower that might occur when inserting or removing the Card under plug-and-play operation. 


The PatchView+ Card features:

  • Supports a unique ID for system-wide identification

  • Powered from the Collector through an RJ-45 8-wire shielded cord  

  • Supports LEDs on the RJ-45 jack for displaying its power and activity status

  • Connects to the Copper Frame or Fiber Tray


Frame Interfaces 

  • 60-pin edge connector

  • RJ-45 8-pin shielded connector


LED Indicators 

  • Link LED (Green): Shows the status of network connectivity at the port. When a network link is established on the port, the LED is lit green; otherwise, it is off.

  • Act (Activity) LED (Yellow): Shows the status of data transaction on the port.
    • When a network link is established on the port but there is no data transaction, the LED is lit amber.
    • When data transaction takes place on a port, the LED blinks amber.
    • When a network link is not established on the port, the LED is off.
