- Senior Tech Manager, Bezeq International

Client: Bezeq International

Industry: Telecommunications and Colocation

Location: Multiple locations in Israel

Scale: 1400 cabinets : 5 sites : 7 data centers

Bezeq International is the leading internet provider in Israel and is the only telecom player with direct ownership of a submarine cable connecting Israel to Europe, enabling the company to serve its customers via virtually unlimited international bandwidth.

Our Client's Challenge

Bezeq International’s estate consists of seven data centers across five sites.

Our client was looking to manage growing demand for space and to support an increase of multi-tenancy customers. With a newly planned site in the pipeline, it was no longer practical to manage all the data center sites without a comprehensive DCIM system that enabled coordination and management of the complete estate.

Our customer's main challenges ranged from legacy cabling systems, resulting in tangled cabling that had not been reviewed for many years as well as the need to implement a truly innovative business management tool and processes capable of integrating their existing CRM system with data center management systems.

Our brief was to design and implement a state-of-the-art DCIM system which managed not only the electro-mechanical systems but also integrated the IT infrastructure components and all of the associated business operation systems including BMS, CMDB and CRM.

The most important requirement was to deliver one central source of reliable data using a federated DCIM system that maps their entire cabling infrastructure and seamlessly integrates with existing business tools. XpedITe is also introducing a customer portal for Bezeq's customers to manage their own data center space.

"XpedITe is the first platform to introduce bespoke CRM integration"

RiT Tech has once again been identified as a Sample Vendor in the 2025 edition of the Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Data Center Infrastructure Technologies, this time as a provider of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools. We believe that this recognition reflects the critical need for data center operators to gain comprehensive visibility across their entire infrastructure. With increasing regulatory requirements and compliance obligations spanning different countries and industries, operators require sophisticated tools to effectively manage and optimize both their physical and IT assets. As a DCIM specialist , RiT Tech has invested significantly in developing XpedITe, a platform built on Universal Intelligent Infrastructure Management (UIIM) principles. Our modular solution integrates multiple data sources to provide a unified view that supports strategic planning, real-time monitoring, and predictive analytics for data center optimization. XpedITe serves dual purposes: delivering essential operational intelligence to teams across the data center while providing strategic insights for executive decision-making. In our opinion this recognition by Gartner underscores the continued innovation driving the DCIM industry forward. What makes DCIM essential in today’s data center landscape? This technological growth has created some critical challenges. The unprecedented energy demands of these advanced technologies have heightened industry concerns around sustainable growth, driving the need for improved efficiency and alternative power sources. This is precisely where proven DCIM solutions like XpedITe deliver value, supporting sustainable growth strategies by enhancing energy efficiency through accurate asset management, capacity planning and comprehensive physical asset inventory management. XpedITe responds to many of the key DCIM challenges that Gartner® highlights. Where Gartner notes challenges with complexity and training, our simple and intuitive DCIM Analytics Dashboards are designed for ease of use. To counter the risk of vendor lock-in, XpedITe is built to be vendor-agnostic. And to solve the critical obstacle of difficult integration, our platform excels at consolidating data from multiple third-party sources into a single, reliable view, reducing operational silos, data fragmentation, and system complexity in line with our broader Universal Intelligent Infrastructure Management (UIIM) model . But it also has a dual use when it comes to reporting on Service Level Agreements, ESG initiatives, and future-proofing investments through digital twin capabilities for proactive capacity planning. Built around vendor-agnostic interoperability, XpedITe has the unique capability of consolidating data from multiple third-party sources into one centralized platform, and this is what makes it one of the most valuable tools on the market. Making data center infrastructure management smarter for operators and their customers Recognized in Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Data Center Infrastructure Technologies, 2025, we are committed to creating a bespoke platform for data center operators to give greater visibility of every asset and IT network, helping our customers support their customers. We are proud to announce that RiT Tech has recently been named a Representative Provider in another Gartner® report, this time in the “Innovation Insight for IT Sustainability Management Tools” research. It follows our inclusion in the Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Infrastructure Strategy and Data Center Infrastructure Technologies. In our opinion, it signals a critical evolution in how the industry views sustainability – moving it from a reporting chore to a core business strategy. According to Gartner, "Enterprise sustainability has evolved from a peripheral concern to a central pillar of modern corporate compliance and business strategy." We couldn't agree more. For years, our Universal Intelligent Infrastructure Management (UIIM) philosophy has been built on this very idea: that a truly sustainable data center is also more efficient, cost-effective, and resilient. Beyond dashboards: The new mandate for resilience and automation While earlier discussions focused on monitoring and reporting, Gartner’s latest insight expands the value proposition. In our opinion, the analysis now highlights how modern tools drive tangible business outcomes in Performance, Cost Savings, and – most critically – Resilience. wW We believe, this aligns perfectly with the core of our XpedITe platform . True resilience isn't possible when your IT and facility systems are disconnected. By creating a unified data layer across all assets – from power and cooling to servers and software – XpedITe provides the holistic visibility needed to predict failures, optimize resources, and ensure operational stability. We think, this is why Gartner recommends that leaders "Prioritize solutions that can provide recommendations and automation... rather than just monitoring." XpedITe was built to do exactly that. Our platform uses AI-powered capabilities to deliver actionable insights, forecast capacity needs, and automate workflows, transforming data into intelligent action. A fragmented market needs a unified view One of the most compelling insights to us from the new report is Gartner's strategic planning assumption: "Through 2028, 75% of I&O leaders will leverage a mix of at least two IT sustainability management tools..." This fragmentation poses a major risk of creating new data silos. Without a central, unifying platform, a multi-tool strategy can lead to conflicting information and operational chaos. This is precisely the challenge our Universal Intelligent Infrastructure Management (UIIM) methodology was designed to solve. XpedITe acts as the single source of truth, integrating with any hardware, software, or third-party system. It breaks down silos between departments, providing a shared, reliable view of the entire data center ecosystem. We don’t just add another tool to the mix; we provide the intelligent foundation that makes the entire stack work together seamlessly. The Future is integrated and intelligent In our opinion, Gartner’s maturing perspective confirms what we’ve long believed: surface-level metrics are no longer enough. The future of data center management requires deep integration, actionable intelligence, and a holistic view that connects sustainability to business resilience. We believe being recognized again by Gartner validates that our XpedITe platform and UIIM methodology are not just aligned with the market but are setting the standard for its future. We are ready to help organizations move beyond simple monitoring and build the efficient, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure of tomorrow. We are delighted to share that RiT Tech has been recognized again as a Sample Vendor for IT Sustainability Management in the Gartner Hype Cycle™ for Infrastructure Strategy, 2025 and the Gartner Hype Cycle™ for Data Center Infrastructure Technologies, 2025. To us, this recognition comes at a crucial time. As AI workloads explode across the industry, so does their energy footprint. Organizations are feeling the pressure from multiple directions; stricter regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), demanding corporate boards, and the simple reality that unsustainable infrastructure practices are becoming a business liability. How can organizations deliver transparent, integrated, and sustainable infrastructure management? Our XpedITe Sustainability Reporting Module directly addresses these challenges by dynamically monitoring and reporting on all ISO/IEC 30134 standards. This means organizations can accurately track and report on critical metrics like Carbon Usage Effectiveness (CUE), Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), and Renewable Energy Factor (REF) – the numbers that actually matter for EU sustainability compliance. In our opinion, what makes this recognition particularly meaningful to us is that Gartner highlighted that ‘new IT monitoring and management tools are emerging to offer simple, clear and transparent ways to both measure and implement sustainable IT strategies.’ That's exactly what we've built XpedITe to do, powered by our Universal Infrastructure Intelligent Management (UIIM) methodology . Gartner highlights a common market obstacle: “typically, they are limited to metrics on primary hardware assets, such as PCs, servers and storage systems, but lack visibility on other technologies, such as monitors, Internet of Things sensors and applications”. Our Universal Intelligent Infrastructure Management (UIIM) methodology was designed to solve this. It creates a unified intelligent layer connecting not just primary servers, but also IT systems, environmental sensors, power infrastructure, and automation for true, real-time visibility across the entire infrastructure stack. We believe, this integrated approach directly answers a key Gartner user recommendation to ‘prioritize solutions that can provide recommendations and automation rather than just monitoring’. It moves beyond simple dashboards to enable predictive maintenance, automated IMAC processes, and contextual analysis that identifies inefficiencies before they become problems. The result? More efficient operations, better compliance, and infrastructure that supports business goals instead of hindering them. A mature solution for an 'adolescent' market Gartner assesses the IT Sustainability Management market's maturity as 'Adolescent,' meaning “maturing technology capabilities and process understanding uptake beyond early adopters”. In this environment, surface-level metrics won't be enough. Organizations need platforms that deliver genuine insight, seamless integration, and intelligent control across their entire operational environment. That's the future we're building with XpedITe and UIIM. We believe this recognition from Gartner validates that we're on the right track – and ready to help organizations navigate whatever comes next in the evolving landscape of sustainable infrastructure management.
