A Thirst For Innovation?

Dec 21, 2023

“The difficulty with any data centre processes is not knowing where to start but what the actual desired outcomes need to be (not wants to be) and then to work backwards” – Quote from Giles Korner (Korgi Consulting)

On the 18th January, we will be hosting one of the first data center events of the year. As we close 2023, it is worth taking the time to reflect on this programme and our goals for moving on data center infrastructure management to a more modern operating model, one that is not reliant on manual systems or closed proprietary protocols that limit up to the minute transparency.

A Thirst for Innovation? is designed to bring together the data center community (owners, operators, end users, consultants, system integrators, MSP’s, vendors and resellers) to openly address concerns around these dynamic facilities that support critical infrastructure for the globe.

The ATFI? platform is opening the communication channels to review both the operational and business services of the data center facilities from source to the physical assets to cloud and beyond, including all the interdependencies in between and breaking down the silos creating the adoption of a unified approach.

The ATFI? vision is to break down the walls of silos and common day concerns of the data center facilities through the interaction of industry experts, solutions, innovation, experiences, processes, concepts and most importantly communications. It is said “It takes a village to raise a child” and I truly believe “It takes one common unified language to run a data center effectively and efficiently”.

“The difficulty with any data center processes is not knowing where to start but what the actual desired outcomes need to be (not wants to be) and then to work backwards” – Quote from Giles Korner (Korgi Consulting) and seconded by all at “A Thirst for Innovation” Round Table event June 2023.

A Thirst for Innovation? has grown year on year since 2020. On the 18th January 2024, we expect it to be the biggest and best event yet. The uptake of registrations has beaten all expectations. Comprising of the host RiT Tech, the Sponsors EnerSys and Subzero, the facilitator Mark Acton, and the panellists Colm Shorten, Romain Tranchant, Rich Kenny and Mark Butcher, I am very much looking forward to welcoming the new 2024 data center year in with the warm embrace it so deserves, “Together anything is possible”.
